Looks like Peer Tere Jaan Di seems to be a clear favourite...and rightly so...the lyrics are incredible.

Other songs U mention are great ones no doubt. I first heard Sajna Ve Sajna live in 1986...it is awesome.

Main Neevan Mera Murshad Ucha was written by the Sufi poet Mian Mohammed Baksh in his book Saiful Malook and has been recorded many times, particularly by the great Punjabi folk singer Alam Lohar. The Pakistani singer Shaukat Ali, who incidentally happens to be one of GM's favourite singers, also recorded this. So I am afraid that like Challa, we'll have to put this song in the special category of folk songs instead of GM songs.

However, the great thing about GM is that he can take these types of songs which have great lyrics and make them into his signature tunes.

No-one has mentioned Mawan Thandiyan Chawan so far...I think this is a classic...or am I just getting too emotional in my "old" age.

Keep posting your favourite songs.
