Nice to hear from u veterans!
| Rikki and megh- Lovely to hear from you, hope all is well.|
Well this is how i made some solid connections with the ustad:- i work part-time at Heathrow airport (that is, part time from studying)- In early August i was walking around and i rercognised these faces- There in front of me stood all of Maan-saabs band! They were in transit on theyre way to Toronto for concerts! They were so shocked that i recognised them! I had a good chat with them and they gave me loads of posters and things, i had apparantly missed Maan-saab by hours-he was on a different flight!- i arranged to meet them all on their return journey to India whilst in transit at Heathrow again- I met with them on their return journey and spent around 3 hours with them- theyre a great bunch of guys, i had a good chat with them all and made quite solid friendships with some of them-exchanging telephone numbers and all. They gave me some awesome photographs, posters and told me loads about him. With them was Maan-saabs brother-he looks very similar to him and is very nice.- I was hoping to meet Maan-saab a few days later as he was travelling back to India through Heathrow-however-the day he was suppossed to fly to Heathrow was the day that New York and Toronto had those major power-cuts so he was not on the flight i was told he was going to be on and it was virtually impossible to find out what flight he was going to come on! Obviously this was fate!
However, ive been in contact with some of the band, Mohan Kumar (the electric drum player) in particular and when they come to London next time, they have promised me that they will introduce me to the ustad.
Well, thats that, hopefully next time they are in town my life long dream will come true!!!!

How wonderful! a true experience... Unfortunately I was in New York at the time of the power cut but in transit to LA so it did'nt effect me that much, although I live in UK.
However, keep us all informed of your communications with him and his band! Perhaps you can share some secrets with us about GM!!!
Nice talking to you and take care... Rikki
