Gurdas Maan - against Music Piracy.

Gurdas Maan speaks out against Music Piracy.

LONDON:

Music piracy is slowly killing the once thriving Asian music industry. Many have spoken out against illegal downloads and buying and selling pirated copies of music. Legendary singer/actor Gurdas Maan and record label company UK Box Office, decided to take a proactive approach to the problem earlier this year, when Gurdas Maan’s latest album Boot Polishan was released.

Purchasers of the original copy of the Boot Polishan CD, had the opportunity to enter a competition where the 1st prize is a pair of tickets to see Gurdas Maan live in concert in California (USA) later this month, with compliments from UK Box Office. The prize includes all flights and accommodation.

To coincide with Gurdas Maan’s visit to the UK on the 23rd of April where, he is being honoured for his work, and celebrating the success of his Boot Polishan album, Mr Maan will select the winner of the competition. Prior to the event a press conference will be held where Mr Maan will talk about anti piracy and how he intends to continue fighting against it.

A gala evening celebration of Boot Polishan will take place at Paragon Hotel on 23rd April. Hosted by Neelu Kalsi (BBC Asian Network) and Tej (Asian Star FM), the evening will include other leading artists like Heera, Silinder Pardesi , Sardara Gill and H Dhami.
