Gurdas Maan was today conferred honorary doctorate by Punjabi University Patiala at the 36th convocation function here.
Governor Shivraj Patil said that the contribution of renowned Punjabi singer Dr.Gurdas Maan in the field of music and Punjabi Cinema was not only recognized by the Punjabi University but his contribution was also recognized by the bigger University i.e. entire society for which the degree of Doctor of Literature (Honris causa) was conferred on him by this University.
